The Greater Bridgeport Area boasts numerous attractions that serve the entertainment needs of our residents and visitors.

The Total Mortgage Arena and other venues attract hundreds of thousands to watch minor league hockey, college basketball and hockey, concerts, and other entertainment.


City of Bridgeport

  • Beardsley Zoo

    Connecticut’s only zoo is one of the most-visited tourist attractions in the entire state.

  • Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater

    The Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater on the bank of the Long Island Sound in Bridgeport is bringing a variety of musical events to the area.

  • Barnum Museum

    The Barnum Museum showcases the life and times of renowned showman P.T. Barnum, who was once Mayor of the City of Bridgeport.

  • Captain’s Cove Seaport

    Captain’s Cove Seaport is a marina, restaurant, bar, and boardwalk on Long Island Sound.

  • Discovery Museum & Adventure Park

    The Discovery Museum and Adventure Park is a hands-on science museum and planetarium and adjacent Adventure Park with trails, rope bridges, and ziplines for children and adults.

  • Group Activities

    Fun group or date-night activities include Blue Ox Axe Throwing, Stress Factory Comedy Club, and Mind Factory Escape Games.

  • Total Mortgage Arena

    Fans of professional sports have options in Bridgeport. In addition to concerts and other events, the Total Mortgage Arena hosts the Westchester Knicks, a G League NBA affiliate of the New York Knicks, one of the most iconic names in professional basketball, and the Bridgeport Islanders, an American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders.

  • Connecticut Audubon Society
    Birdcraft Museum & Sanctuary

    The Connecticut Audubon Society Birdcraft Museum & Sanctuary is adjacent to the 155-acre Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary. It features live and mounted animals with displays, an outdoor "birds of prey" compound for live, non-releasable raptors, and a Nature Store.

  • Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum

    The Oak Lawn Cemetery & Arboretum offers walking tours of its extraordinary collection of special, mature catalogued specimen trees adorning its landscape as well as educational programs highlighting their value.

  • Fairfield Museum & History Center

    The Fairfield Museum & History Center uses the power of history, art and humanities to inspire the imagination. Rotating exhibitions range from photography to regional history to shows about fascinating issues such as immigration, climate change, and war.

  • Ogden House & Gardens

    The Ogden House & Gardens is a typical mid-18th century farmhouse that escaped the burning of Fairfield by British forces during the American Revolution, providing a glimpse into the life of a family of the “middling sort.”


Town of Monroe

  • Blue Spruce Farm

    Blue Spruce Farm offers trail rides, moonlight rides, tractor-drawn hayrides, and pony rides.

  • Webb Mountain Discovery Zone

    Webb Mountain Discovery Zone is a free outdoor learning center, offering three trails leading through an intricate outdoor Scavenger Hunt.

  • Barn Hill/East Village Schoolhouse

    Barn Hill/East Village Schoolhouse (c.1790) is the oldest of Monroe’s 7 former one-room schoolhouses, now an authentic living museum to early education.

  • East Village Meeting House

    East Village Meeting House, the oldest Methodist church building in Connecticut, illuminates the Monroe area’s faith life beginning in the early 1800s.

  • Eliot Beardsley Homestead

    The Eliot Beardsley Homestead was built c. 1780 and is a classic example of an 18th century New England saltbox colonial, complete with authentic period furnishings, paintings, kitchenware, farm implements and other items.

  • Connecticut Air & Space Museum

    Connecticut Air & Space Museum displays vintage aircraft, memorabilia, and artifacts that pertain to Connecticut, both inside and out.

  • National Helicopter Museum

    The National Helicopter Museum features a photo essay of helicopter development from nature's own dragonfly and hummingbird, man-made boomerangs and ancient Chinese tops to international developments in the 20th century.

  • Stratford Historical Society

    The Stratford Historical Society informs about colonial life in Stratford with tours of the Captain David Judson House and the Catharine Bunnell Mitchell Museum.

  • Stratford Veterans Museum

    The Stratford Veterans Museum honors veterans from Stratford who have served our country honorably in war and in peace and to act as a repository for their stories.

  • Boothe Memorial Park & Museum

    Boothe Memorial Park and Museum is the former homestead of the Boothe Family (1663-1949), with picnic facilities, rose and wedding gardens.

  • Ruby & Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum

    Ruby & Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum exhibits a collection of artifacts that reflect decades of turbulent times for African Americans in the U.S. during the period of slavery and the Civil Rights movement.

  • Trumbull Historical Society

    The Trumbull Historical Society maintains a museum and research library offering information about Trumbull and its settlers – genealogical information, pictures of the town 100 years ago, history of the town’s historic homes – it is all here, waiting to be discovered.

  • Trumbull Nature and Arts Center

    The Trumbull Nature and Arts Center’s 11+ acres are home to meadow, forest, stream and pond, plus trails for exploring and a popular playground.

  • Chester Hill Farm

    Chester Hill Farm, a Hunter/Jumper equestrian riding facility, caters to riders from children to adults in a low-pressure environment that emphasizes correct horsemanship, safety, and fun.

  • Family Fun

    Family fun in Trumbull takes place at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park and Xperiment Virtual Reality.
